Facility and Experience

  • The BASIN entrance is located within the interior of Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.  Guests can access it via the Lakeview corridor.

  • BASIN is strictly an 18+ experience.

  • BASIN is a thermotherapy-based experience designed to be a self-paced, self-guided time of relaxation and rejuvenation.  There are no set rules to thermotherapy, except to keep hydrated and listen to your body.  There are a series of five guided thermotherapy circuits, curated by the BASIN wellness team, for guests seeking to reach a particular outcome from their thermotherapy experience.

  • A reusable water bottle and swimwear.  Towels, robes, slippers, sauna hats and a selection of haircare, skincare and personal hygiene products are available for guest use.

  • We recommend guests keep all unnecessary items in their rooms, for safekeeping. If bringing personal belongings and valuables into BASIN, they should be stored away securely in the lockers for the duration of your visit.  Please note, to honour an optimum wellness experience for all guests, BASIN is a no-tech space; use of cellphones is not permitted.

  • Swimwear is required at all times. Robes, sauna hats, and spa slippers will be provided for the comfort of guests and to enhance the thermotherapy experience.

  • While not designated a strictly silent space, BASIN has been designed to be a calming, reflective experience for all guests.  There are designated areas for quiet reflection, where silence or hushed talking is preferred, complemented by quiet social areas.  Guests are asked to respect other patrons at all times and speak to an appropriate volume for the facility space they are occupying at any part of their thermotherapy circuit.  Please note, cellphones and other electronic devices are strictly prohibited in the facility.

  • BASIN Glacial Waters accepts room charges, all major credit cards, debit cards and cash. Additional charges accrued during a visit for treatments, food and beverage, etc… are paid at reception upon departure or will be charged to the credit card on file.
